Agave attenuata plants, 2 large (25cm & 20cm pot) & 4 smaller (13 cm pot). The pavers are 40x40 cm for scale.The larger plants are 30-40 cm in height above soil level. The common name is 'The Century Plant' because it is said to take years to flower. It is native to Mexico but this plant will grow in most parts of Australia. Agave attenuata has broad, grey green leaves 50-70cm long.The flower spike grows to about 1.5m long. New plants form at the base of the old plant & on the trunk. Its used mainly as an accent foliage plant or as a feature in a large pot. It will last for years and add interest to the garden. It needs to be grown in an open sunny position in a well-drained soil.
